Petition: Create a Memorial for the Jewish Community of Gryfice
These pledges of support are addressed to the local council in Gryfice, whose support we need to create a memorial for the Jewish community of Gryfice.
The purpose of this campaign is to create a memorial in the town of Gryfice, Poland (formerly Greifenberg, Germany), to remind people of the Jewish community which was once so important to the town. If your family or the family of someone you know came from Gryfice, if you are Jewish, or if you just want a memorial to ensure people don't forget the Jewish community, please pledge your support to the cause.
The last Jews lived in Gryfice in the 1930s, but it is important for people everywhere to remember the Jewish communities of Europe, the contribution they made, and what happened to them, so that we can be sure it never happens to anyone again.
We respectfully request the support of the council of Gryfice for the creation of a memorial to the former Jewish community.
