Petition: please Sergio Ramos, stay at Real Madrid!

Sergio Ramos is one of the best defenders in football (soccer) history. He was the hero of last year's Champions League final when he scored with a header in the 93rd minute against Atletico de Madrid. His goal forced the overtime and Real Madrid won in the end conquering their tenth European Champion title. A year later disagrements with the club management which does not want to grant him the salary rise that he demands (and that arguably Real Madrid's president may have promised to him), may end up provoking Ramos departure to another club, most likely Manchester United. 

We should remember that Ramos is a living legend who has won for Spain a World Cup and two European Championship, and who has been a key player for Real Madrid since his arrival, winning a Champions League, one World Club Cup, three La Liga championships, two Copa del Rey and several other trophies. We Madrid supporters admire his character, leadership, strength and skill. We think he is the best defender in the world. He has fought hard for Real Madrid over the last 10 years. He is the second captain of the team. We beg you Sergio, stay with us, don't leave us!

Ramos es uno de los mejores defensas de la historia. Fue el héroe del Real Madrid en la final de Lisboa del 24 de mayo de 2014, cuando empató el partido en el minuto 93, cuando la derrota parecía segura. El gol de Sergio Ramos forzó la prórroga, y el Real Madrid se impuso al Atlético de Madrid conquistando la ansiada Décima copa de Europa. Un año más tarde, en desacuerdo con la dirección del club que no satisface su petición de un aumento de sueldo (algo que según afirma el jugador fue una promesa del mismísimo presidente del Real Madrid, Florentino Pérez), Sergio Ramos está a punto de firmar por otro equipo, probablemente el Manchester United.

El orignario de Camas es uno de los futbolistas más laureados del mundo, ya que ganó dos Eurocopas y un Mundial con España, además de una Champions League, 3 ligas y dos copas del Rey (entre otros títulos) con su club el Real Madrid. Los aficionados del Real Madrid admiramos la garra y lo consideramos como el mejor defensa del mundo. Uno de los íconos de este gran club donde ha pasado los últimos 10 años, siendo además el segundo capitán del equipo. 

Hoy, simplemente te pedimos “Sergio, ¡quédate!”
