The India vs Pakistan is probably one of the most interesting sports rivalries in history. India-Pakistan cricket matches have a special meaning and mobilize fans all over the world. After the partition of British India into India and Pakistan and the subsequent Kashmir conflict the tensions between these two big countries extended to the domain of sports. Since the first cricket test match series in the early 1950s the two national teams have found extra motivation when playing with their arch-rival. Each game has stimulated the passions of millions of spectators who interpreted cricket matches as a way to demonstrate national pride through non-violent means. India and Pakistan have played each other 193 times. Pakistan has been historically more successul in One Day Internationals (72 vs 51) games and Test matches (12 vs 9). However, India is leading in terms of victories Twenty20 International games (5 vs 1) and in number of major international titles won (13 vs 9). India and Pakistan national teams have also had some of the best all-time cricketers in the world.
