Halo and Call of Duty (CoD) are the most popular first person shooter game series with millions of loyal followers. Which one do you think is the best?
Call of Duty (CoD) and Halo are probably the most popular first-person shooter (FPS) video game series today. The 11 Call of Duty games, so far, are set in a variety of war zones and time periods. The latest, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, is set in the middle of the 21st century, allowing players to use a variety of futuristic weapons. Sales of these games have reached $10 Billion according to Activision, the owner and publisher of Call of Duty.
Microsoft's Halo has also been just as successful as a franchise. Currently Halo has released 3 sequels to the initial Halo: Combat Evolved as well as several other Halo based games. Each new release has broken previous Halo game sales records. Halo 5: Guardians is set to come out at some point in 2015 and is expected to send shockwaves throughout the gaming world. In adition there are several spin-off games: Halo Wars, Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Reach, Halo: Spartan Assault and Halo: Spartan Strike.
