BioWare and Bethesda create extraordinary role-playing games, but, do you prefer Mass Effect or Fallout? Dragon Age or Elder Scrolls?

Role-playing games

BioWare and Bethesda have created some of all time most successful "Western-style" sci fi and fantasy role-playing games (RPGs). The Canadian video game developer BioWare is responsible for fantasy RPG sagas such as Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights and Dragon Age and for the Sci-Fi themed Star Wars: the Old Republic and Mass Effect franchises. Its main competitor is the American developer Bethesda Game Studio which created the Elder Scrolls fantasy saga (including Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim) and the steampunk Dishonored post apocalyptic Fallout.

BioWare vs Bethesda

Both developers have been critically acclaimed and enjoy commercial success, their games have usually very long campaigns with lots of interesting characters. However, their games are quite unique in their own ways. Do you prefer Bio-Ware's third-person or Bethesda's first-person perspectives for RPGs? Do you like smaller scenarios whith stronger focus on the story and narrative, as in BioWare games, or larger open worlds where you can wander with almost total freedom, as in Bethesda games? What do you think of the latest games from these developers: Dragon Age Inquisition and Fallout 4? What about Mass Effect Andromeda and Dishonored 2? Did they match your expectations?
