Pandemic and Arkham Horror are two of the most celebrated and played cooperative board games. Which one do you prefer? 

Cooperative board games are becoming increasingly popular. Arkham Horror (Fantasy Flight Games) is a game based in the Lovecraft's Myths of Cthulhu in which players need to investigate and avoid the arrival to the earth of an "Ancient One", a creature that would destroy the world. In Pandemic (Z-Man Games), players incarnate specialists who cooperate to avoid mass extinction due to infectious diseases.

 

 
 

Both games have their particular strengths and weaknesses, but surely you have a favorite one.

Exactly. If a game is to easy to win it's boring. The few time we played Pandemic we were very close to win, that's why I still believe it's possible!

We have won a couple of times when I have played, but not many. It's kind of difficult to win which makes it interesting. I think it depends a bit on the set of skills of the characters, not only the skills of the players, although if you don't make the right decisions there is not much you can do.
