The War of the Ring and Battles of Westeros are two popular board war games. Which of the two fantasy games do you prefer?

There is a multitude of fantasy board games. Among them two games stand out due to the number of fans of the literary worlds they are based on: War of the Ring (2004) based on J. R. R. Tolkien's Lord of Rings and Battles of Westeros (2010) based on George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire book series. These are not gateway board games, so newcomers to the board game hobby may find them challenging. The War of the Rings is a very asymmetric area control game with elements of war game and with cards. The Battle of Westeros is based a tactical war game based on the Battlelore system. Thus, these are very different games, The War of the Ring depics a more macro level or strategic approach to war while Battles of Westeros adopts a somewhat tactic angle.
