Best way to spend your holidays: one long vacation vs several mini-breaks or short breaks?

Dilemma: how to distribute your holidays? Is it better to take several short breaks or mini-breaks or to spend your holiday allowance in one long vacation?

Holidays!

Going on holiday is, for many people, the highlight of the year. For a few days you can forget about your email inbox, remembering to bring an umbrella and the trials of keeping a functioning house on top of the demands of work, kids and the other hundred things that spring up from day to day. Unfortunately, jumping on a plane isn’t always easy. Time is short and holidays are expensive. Contract hours, domestic emergencies and unexpected bills guard these flashes of freedom jealously. Moreover, other people have to take into consideration their children school holidays. But what would you do if you had enough flexibility to plan your holidays as you wished?

One long vacation or several short breaks?

There are two main options open to those craving some time away. Firstly, a long holiday; 2 or 3 weeks in the sun far away before slugging away for the rest of the year whilst secretly planning your next escape. Secondly, taking short breaks, perhaps weekends and bank holidays, as often as possible.

Long holidays give you the time to go further afield and experience places you might not otherwise be able to visit. When you are there, you have days to soak up the culture and properly reset before returning to normal life. A long and exotic jaunt in the sun is often a great reward for a year of hard work, and the thought of another can pull you through the next one. Sometimes it is not only about rest. A few weeks climbing a mountain, or exploring a jungle, or simply meditating in a remote area can be life changing experiences.

Short breaks, on the other hand, let you spend time in a number of different places and spread your free time across the year. Although you aren’t able to go to as exotic destinations, you at least get to visit different places closer to home and take advantage of last minute inspirations and offers. Mini breaks often let you explore a new city for a few days, where weeks of time might get tedious. Plus, you might get to keep your tan topped up all year round. They can also be the ideal way to enjoy music festivals or interesting events that take place over a couple of days. And what about a short and intense romantic getaway?

What type of vacations make you happier? Do you feel that speding all your holiday allowance at once may give you anxiety once it is over? Do mini-breaks help you to disconnect or simply create more stress?

At first I was skeptical of the whole process, but then I read many good reviews about METRONET CREDIT SOLUTION on several forums. After careful deliberation with my wife I contacted them via 205 518 3032 and wrote them via METRONETCREDITSOLUTION@GMAIL.COM, they increased my score to 800 and improved my credit profile by removing the evictions, foreclosure, inquiries, late payments, collections, IRS and other negatives; I acknowledge their efforts and strongly recommend their services to anybody in need of credit fix. Contact them for any credit related issue, chex system or DUI fix. Don't forget to mention me.
