Minecraft's developer, Mojang, was acquired by Microsoft. Do you think this will be good or bad for the game?
Minecraft is the quintessence of creativity in the world of gaming. Minecraft is a game about breaking and placing blocks. This game was born as a little independent sandbox for PC in 2009. Its simplicity and versatility made it a charming game. Today, Minecraft is available on all gaming platforms, it has sold more than 50 million copies and has more than 100 million registered users worldwide. Microsoft has recently announced the acquisition of Minecraft's developer, Mojang. Many fear that Minecraft may now lose its independent and low-budget spirit inside the international software, games and consoles corporation.
Do you think that Minecraft can be the same after being absorbed by such a big coorporation? Could this acquisition endanger the original successful model of Minecraft? Or on the other hand, could Microsoft provide the resources necessary to make Minecraft even a better game?
