We discuss the advantages and limitations of the three most popular types of surfaces in urban gardens. Lawn, decking or paving, which one would you choose for your garden?

Lawn, decking, and paving are the home garden surfaces that we more often encounter in urban areas. Each of them has pros and cons depending on your priorities and particular circumstances. Do you have toddlers home? Do you have time to mow the lawn? Do you use flower pots? Do you live in a very sunny or a very cold town? What is your budget? Are you very concerned about longevity and low maintenance?

Between those, lawn. But a green area leaving space for animals to move in, kind of like a small forest, would be better.
