Italian Luxury Sports Car
Italians are masters when it comes to create luxury sports cars. Cars are more than simple vehicles. They trigger emotions different emotions and are a sign of status. Some even claim that cars reflect the personality of their owners. After discussing which vintage small European car was the coolest and contrasting BMW and Mercedes, we now focus on luxury sports cars, pitting against each other two brands that produce some of the most expensive cars in the world: Ferrari and Lamborghini. Most of us can only dream to drive (not to say own) any of these cars. However, we can definitely have the pleasure to discuss about them.
Ferrari vs Lamborghini
Ferrari is probably one of the best known brands in the world. Founded in 1929 by the motor racing driver and entrepreneur Enzo Ferrari, it was first established to produce racing cars, but then also manufactured street-legal cars from 1947. Ferrari is still a very successful racing team. In Formula One, the team holds the record with 16 constructors championships. The prancing horse brand has produced some of the most iconic cars of all time, such as the Ferrari 250 GTO, 375 Mille Miglia Spider, 206 Dino GT, Testarossa and Enzo. Ferrari now sells road cars like the F12 Berlinetta, FF, California T and Ferrari 458. The Ferrari Pininfarina Sergio is one of the most expensive cars ever made with an estimated price of $3 million
Lamborghini was founded in 1963 by the Italian manufacturing tycoon Ferrucio Lamborghini, precisely with the idea of competing with other luxury brands, especially Ferrari. The brand of the bull also participated in the Formula One competition (although briefly, from 1989 to 1993 with no significant success). Lamborghini has manufactured some of the most powerful, expensive and desired sports cars, such as the 350 GT, Miura, Countach or Murcielago. Their most modern cars, such as the Aventador and the Huracán, contribute to increase their already great prestige. The most expensive car produced by Lamborghini is the Veneno, with an extimated price of $4,5 million
